Anti-gun Politicians, Media Exploit Paris Attacks in “Terrorist Gap” Rehash
The Paris terrorist attacks were not easily pinned on America’s supposedly lax gun laws or the NRA, but that didn’t stop exploitative assaults on America’s law-abiding gun owners and those who support them. While some media sources did ruefully acknowledge that Paris already has highly restrictive gun control and that the firearms used in the attacks were obtained illegally, attention soon focused on supposed loopholes in American laws that critics claim make the U.S. a virtual arms bazaar for terrorists. One tabloid went so far as to characterize NRA’s Second Amendment advocacy as a “sick jihad.”

Senate Committee Advances Sportsmen’s Act on Bipartisan Vote
On Thursday, S. 556, the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act of 2015, passed out of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources without amendment. The bill contains numerous NRA-backed measures to ensure federal lands are accessible by and preserved for the use of hunters, anglers, and recreational shooters. A foundational principle of the bill is that it codifies the “open unless closed” policy of the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service in Federal statute. This means that hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting are presumptively allowed on such lands unless the managing authority goes through a specified process to prohibit such uses. In other words, the burden is on the managing authority to demonstrate why these uses are not appropriate before closing any lands.

Bloomberg’s Lackeys Tweet Solace to Unarmed Victims of Paris Attacks … Some of Them, Anyway
On Friday, Nov. 13, Islamic terrorists carried out a series of coordinated attacks in Paris, France, that left (at last count) 129 people dead. Their weapons included explosive suicide vests and Kalashnikov rifles. These weapons – as well as murder, false imprisonment, kidnapping, trespass, smuggling, terrorism, and virtually every other discrete act that led to the bloodshed – are banned in Paris, as they are throughout Western Europe.

Overwhelming 81 Percent of Current and Former Military have Unfavorable View of Clinton
More bad news for Hillary Clinton. Coming off the heels of survey results that found the former Secretary of State trailing NRA  in favorability, and multiple other polls finding her to be untrustworthy, Clinton posted a truly woeful performance in a poll targeting one of our country’s most respected classes, active and former military personnel.

“F” Stands for Fail: Gun Turn-in Event Nets a Stack of Paper Pledges and Some Surplus Sporting Goods
Recently, we reported on Hillary Clinton’s praise for local firearm “buyback” events and her view that forcing Americans to participate in them on a national level – ala Australia and Great Britain – is “worth considering.”

Brussels Pushes Gun Control in Wake of Paris Attacks
On November 18, the European Commission expedited a plan to overhaul the European Union’s already restrictive gun control laws. The move comes in the immediate wake of November 13th’s terrorist shooting and bombing attacks that killed 129 in Paris, France. Just how the European Commission expects new restrictions on civilian firearm ownership to influence the behavior of suicidal violent extremists with access to explosives and military-grade ordnance, remains unclear.

Hillary Clinton Wins Cuomo Award from Brady Campaign
What do you get when a Cuomo, a Clinton and the Brady Campaign get together to toast each other? A lot of hollow rhetoric blaming America’s law abiding gun owners for the acts of criminals and madmen, and oh yes, an award for Hillary Clinton. The Brady Campaign came up with a new award they named for a former anti-gun New York Governor, Mario Cuomo.  The current anti-gun New York Governor, his son Andrew Cuomo, was on hand at an event in Manhattan to praise Clinton as the recipient of the inaugural “Mario Cuomo Visionary Award.” The primary message of the event was clear: everyone wants more gun laws, and the only thing stopping their passage are cowardly politicians acting in concert with the NRA.
