A 70-year-old homeowner in Carnation, Wash. awoke around 5 a.m. to the sound of someone kicking in his door. When the homeowner went to investigate, a physical altercation erupted between him and the intruder. The homeowner then retreated to another room, retrieved a gun and shot the intruder twice, ceasing the attack. The homeowner suffered minor injuries during the scuffle, but is ok.
