This week, the Senate approved Senate Bill 112 sponsored by Senator John Carona (R-16), an NRA-backed bill that prohibits the confiscation of firearms from law-abiding citizens during a future state of emergency or natural disaster.
On Tuesday, March 13, the House Defense Affairs & State-Federal Relations Committee will consider SB 112’s House companion bill, House Bill 258 sponsored by Representative Frank Corte (R- 122).

On the afternoon of Monday, March 12, the full Senate is expected to consider Senate Bill 378, NRA-supported "Castle Doctrine" legislation sponsored by Senator Jeff Wentworth (R-25). SB 378 provides protection from criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits for the lawful use of force when defending yourself and your family.
