SB 1596 removes short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns from the list of prohibited weapons in Texas. These items will remain regulated at the federal level under the National Firearms Act.
HB 1403 protects the privacy and rights of foster parents by prohibiting child placement agencies from requiring an inventory of specific types of firearms in the home and by ensuring that any firearm-related information remains confidential.
HB 3053 prevents municipalities and counties from adopting or enforcing measures that organize, sponsor, or participate in gun buyback programs.
These victories mark a significant step forward for Texas gun owners and Second Amendment advocates.
