On Tuesday, May 13th, the Suffolk County legislature will have a hearing and vote on a proposal to exempt shooting ranges from the Suffolk County Noise Control Law. The proposal has been approved by the County legislature’s Parks Committee, and will now be considered by the full legislature. As you are well aware, Suffolk County has a lower noise level standard than the rest of the State, and passing this important Resolution is a very important step in getting the Suffolk County Trap and Skeet Range reopened.
