This week's outrage comes to us by way of Rhode Island; from the Rhode Island State House, as a matter of fact. It was there, at the State House, that State Sen. Josh Miller (D-Cranston, Warwick) had one of those defining moments. Something along the lines of Michael Dukakis and the tank ad, or Howard Dean and the infamous scream. Only this was different, in that it was disgraceful--not only to Sen. Miller, but to his office and the people he serves. And, it offers insight into the kind of politician, and person, Miller is.
Following a March 18, gun control event at the State House, Sen. Miller was approached by a Truth Radio Show host, Dan Bidondi, who confronted Miller over the Second Amendment.
"The Second Amendment shall not be infringed, you people need to understand that," Bidondi says.
Sen. Miller's response (and the response of a photographer) will floor you. Well, see for yourself--but we warn you--the language is OBSCENE. Watch the exchange here.
Such an outrageous response, coming from an elected official--and at the State House, no less--is not only disgraceful, but graphically demonstrates the senator's utter arrogance and complete disrespect for his constituents. He should be ashamed of himself.
Radio show host Bidondi recently asked his listeners to rethink their selection of Sen. Miller as a legislator.
"Voters, ask yourself 'Would you want to re-elect a foul-mouthed anti-constitutional, Second-Amendment-hating senator?'"
Good question. We hope voters remember the (dis)-Honorable Sen. Miller's vulgar response when he comes up for reelection.
