On Tuesday, January 24 at 10:00am, the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee is scheduled to hear House Bill 350, anti-self-defense legislation containing unwarranted pitfalls for law-abiding gun owners. As drafted, HB 350 seeks to remove one constitutional right while an individual is exercising another by prohibiting the carry of a firearm for self-defense while voting.
If enacted, it would become a Class B felony to carry a gun while voting, punishable by up to 7 years in prison. This is an outrageous attack on the right to self-defense of New Hampshire citizens and gun owners.
