Wisconsin: Interest high in firearms training classes, purchases

Even the Super Bowl Champions didn't have a chance against concealed weapons. Hergert Sports Center, 1232 N. Sawyer St., scheduled a concealed firearm training class on Sept. 8, thinking a Thursday night would allow those interested in taking the training class needed to apply for the permit allowing them to carry a concealed weapon would still be able to enjoy the opening weekend of NFL action. Not so. It turns out the Green Bay Packers will be facing off against the New Orleans Saints at the same time as the training class. Nonetheless, the class filled to its 100 person capacity within two weeks.
