Indiana’s Parking Lot Bill Facing Committee Deadline!

Friday, March 27, 2009

Please Contact the House Democratic Leadership Today!

Senate Bill 11, Indiana’s “Parking Lot” bill, faces a committee deadline in two weeks. If there is no hearing in the House Committee on Courts and Criminal Code, the “Parking Lot” bill cannot get a full House vote.

Authored by State Senator and NRA Board Member Johnny Nugent (R-43), SB 11 would protect the rights of lawful gun owners in Indiana to store their locked firearms in their cars while using publicly accessible parking lots.

SB 11 already passed the Senate by an overwhelming, bi-partisan majority of 42 to 8 and NRA looks forward to a vote in the House. But first the House Democrat Leadership needs to hear from you!

Please contact the House Democrat Leadership and respectfully indicate your desire to have a committee hearing and vote on SB 11.
