In 2005, individual hunters and fishermen and those affiliated with conservation groups lobbied the Colorado legislature for license fee increases. They volunteered to pay more money to hunt and fish. They also wanted 75 cents added to the cost of every hunting and fishing license to establish an education program that would teach people about wildlife and its funding.
