Last Thursday the Florida House of Representatives substituted SB-436 by Sen. Peaden for HB-249 by Rep. Baxley because the Senate bill had already passed the Senate 39-0.
This morning the Florida House of Representatives took up the Senate version of the Castle Doctrine bill and PASSED it 94-20. The bill now goes to Governor Jeb Bush. He has the option of Signing, Vetoing, or letting it become law without signature. We urge Governor Bush to sign this bill.
Please send email to Governor Bush to ask him to sign SB-436/Castle Doctrine.
