Todd Olson, 21, was in his Colorado Springs, Colo., home with his two roommates when three armed men forced their way into the house announcing, "We're here to rob you of all your dough." In the ensuing brawl, Olson was stabbed in the back and neighbor Richard LaFremiere suffered cuts on his hands, throat, and neck. The attack was halted when LaFremiere's roommate, who had been upstairs, raced down with a .22 cal. rifle. One assailant gave up immediately, one escaped, and the other was subdued by Olson and LaFremiere.
