Social Security Update: Agency Backpedals as NRA and Pro-Gun Officials Press for Answers
Last month, we reported on a story by the L.A. Times that indicated the Obama White House is eyeing ways to use the Social Security Administration (SSA) as a source of records for NICS, which includes a federal database of persons prohibited from possessing or receiving firearms. One option the story discussed was SSA’s adoption of a model employed by the Veteran’s Administration, which reports to NICS as “adjudicated as a mental defective” beneficiaries who have been assigned a “fiduciary” to manage their benefits. This has resulted in some 177,000 VA beneficiaries being reported as prohibited persons to NICS, without the necessity of any judicial finding whatsoever as to their propensity for dangerous or violent behavior. According to the L.A. Times, a similar move by the SSA would have far broader reach, involving as many as 4.2 million beneficiaries with “representative payees.”

Bloomberg Spends Again to Publicize His Bought-and-Paid-For Background Check Law
Recently, Amy Schumer – Millennial comedy sensation and cousin to gun control standard-bearer Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) – insisted that money is at the center of America’s gun control problem. We agree with that premise, but the money is flooding in from gun ban advocates, and the problem is that they think they’re better than you are and that your rights are up for sale.  Nobody illustrates this better than billionaire Michael Bloomberg, whose ego and checkbook are propping up a disarmament movement that disproportionately attracts the showy philanthropy of fat cats, rather than enduring grassroots support. With another of his signature antigun initiatives sucking wind right out of the blocks, it’s time again for the sugar daddy of gun control to reach deep into his well-stuffed pockets.

Latest Anti-Gunner Demand: Slow Down Firearm Sales!
With Americans buying firearms at record-shattering levels and public opinion turning against gun control over the last few years, anti-gun groups and politicians are trying to convince firearm dealers to voluntarily refuse to sell firearms to some of their law-abiding customers. The anti-gunners’ new effort tracks with the three-part plan outlined by the Brady Campaign in 1976, when it was known as the National Council to Control Handguns, to first “slow down the increasing number of handguns being produced and sold in this country,” and thereafter get handguns registered, then banned from private possession.
Australia to Allow “Controversial” Shotgun

Australia to Allow “Controversial” Shotgun
In a clear demonstration of just how far anti-gunners will go and how convoluted they will make their arguments, gun ban advocates in Australia have been pushing to permanently ban a lever action shotgun that is based on technology that is over 150 years old. The gun, made by Adler Arms, is a lever action 12 gauge shotgun that has a seven round tube fed magazine. While this would make the Adler rather routine in many firearm circles here in the United States, this is apparently a scary firearm to the anti-gunners in Australia.  Greens Party Senator Penny Wright said the Adler shotgun was “dangerous,” claiming “If this rapid-fire gun got into the wrong hands, there is a real concern that we could see a repetition of the tragic events we've seen in the past.”

Chris W. Cox: "We're Going to Win This Country Back"

Chris W. Cox discusses reports that President Obama has issued a memo to federal agencies, resulting in a Social Security Administration plan that will deprive more than four million recipients of their gun rights, without due process of law. He describes it as the biggest gun grab in history, unprecedented in his over twenty years with the NRA. Any person who has had a "representative payee" appointed to handle their finances is vulnerable. Cox vows that the NRA will fight every day until it is stopped. Further, he calls for the immediate repeal of the ban on firearms at military facilities, forbidding service men and women their right of self-defense.

Is Michael Bloomberg Preparing to Run for President?
Is Michael Bloomberg Preparing to Run for President?
The media says he should. Even if he doesn’t run for president, Bloomberg will try to pick the President. Bloomberg spends his billions backing politicians who want to take away your rights and limit your freedom. Bloomberg’s agenda: outlaw your snack foods, drive up your electric bill, and dismantle your gun rights. Tell Bloomberg: you can’t buy our White House. And you can’t take our freedom.
