Tonight, September 7, the Maine IFW and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be holding a public hearing to discuss range operations at the Fryeburg Shooting Range. This hearing will begin at 5:00pm at the Brownfield Community Center. Please consider attending this hearing and contributing to the discussion about range operations and regulations. Regulations concerning the following topics could be considered at this meeting:
- AR-15s or any semi-automatic firearms;
- magazine capacity limits; and
- steel bullets or cases
Fryeburg Shooting Range closed briefly in March of this year due to irresponsible shooting and noise complaints. The shooting range opened once again last month after implementing new safety precautions; however, more regulations are being considered which would affect your rights at this designated shooting area.
