Colorado: Bloomberg’s Gun Control Bus Tour Pulls into Town

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Tomorrow, July 19, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), is making a stop in Aurora on their “No More Names” bus tour.

This tour consists of reading names of individuals who have been killed by guns, but MAIG has used shocking lies as a tactic during each one of their stops.  This extremist group even recently labeled one of the Boston Marathon bombing terrorists as a “victim of gun violence.”  Unfortunately, their deceit doesn’t stop there.  Their list of gun violence “victims” also includes suicides, home invaders shot for self-defense and police shootings of criminals.  This list also included the name of high profile cop-killer Christopher Dorner, who was the subject of a massive manhunt earlier this year in California.

Your NRA is currently running an advertisement to expose Bloomberg's trail of deceit.

For this gun ban group to claim its focus is on combating illegal guns is a misleading at best.  MAIG is designed to disarm, disenfranchise and punish responsible gun owners and sportsmen, and aggressively lobbies to ban commonly owned firearms and magazines.  MAIG needs to stop victimizing law-abiding gun owners, and focus on concrete solutions to curb the criminal access to and misuse of firearms.

A rally coordinated by Colorado-based Gun Rights Across America is planned for tomorrow, July 19.  If you are interested in attending, details for the event can be found on their Facebook page.

Your NRA will continue to stand up for your Second Amendment rights and combat Bloomberg’s anti-gun agenda.
