Nebraska: NRA-Backed Bill Scheduled for Committee Hearing This Week

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

NRA-backed Legislative Bill 392 is scheduled for a hearing by the Judiciary Committee on Thursday, March 21 at 1:30 PM.

LB 392, introduced by state Senator Steve Lathrop (12), repeals an outdated state firearms statute, bringing state law into alignment with federal law by allowing Nebraska residents to purchase long guns in non-contiguous states.  This long overdue legislation would eliminate provisions that create confusion and inconsistency for law-abiding citizens.

Please contact members of the Judiciary Committee TODAY and respectfully urge them to support LB 392.  As a law-abiding citizen, you should not be burdened by Nebraska’s antiquated firearms statute!
