On Tuesday, January 13th, the Delaware General Assembly convenes for the 2026 legislative session. As in 2025, the Legislature is expected to pursue an anti-gun agenda, including bills still in process from last year:
House Bill 45: will track the lawful purchases of gun owners by mandating a new "merchant category code" (MCC) for credit and debit financial transactions at retail businesses.
HB 198: will increase the time period a protection order can be imposed to beyond 2 years.
Gun owners and sportsmen throughout the state must stay actively involved to defend freedom.
