A homeowner in Inkster, Mich. was awakened around 1:20 a.m. by two armed criminals breaking into his house. The homeowner retrieved a gun and confronted the criminals, which resulted in a physical struggle . During the altercation, the homeowner and criminals exchanged gunfire , leaving one intruder dead and the other on the run . The homeowner was unharmed.
Police do not plan to file charges against the homeowner. The homeowner is also prepared for self-defense outside the home as a Right-to-Carry permit holder.
