Anyone holding a gun permit would be allowed to carry a weapon into public parks, most restaurants and other businesses under a bill that has passed the state Senate. Senate Bill 2153 passed the Senate on a 48-3 vote earlier this month. It was sent to the state House and was assigned to the Judiciary B Committee last week. It must also pass the House and be signed into law by the governor.
