On Thursday, April 2, the State Senate unanimously passed Senate Joint Resolution 3, Arkansas’ Right to Hunt and Fish. SJR3 will be taken up in the House on Monday, April 6, so please contact your State Representative immediately and voice your support.
NRA has been working with State Senator Steve Faris (D-27) for the last six years to pass this critical legislation. This legislation would amend the Arkansas State Constitution to establish that hunting and fishing are recognized rights that will be protected for future generations. SJR 3, if passed, would allow the voters of Arkansas to consider this amendment, which seeks to ensure that the state’s strong hunting and fishing heritage is preserved for future generations. The language in SJR 3 is stronger than any of the similar legislation passed in other states.
