Come and Support the Lions Shooting Sports Program!
Lindenwood University is applying to St. Charles County for a conditional use permit to build its own World Class shooting facility in a remote section of Missouri River bottomland. This is a great opportunity for this collegiate World and National Championship shooting program to practice much closer to home.
Currently the team drives anywhere from 70 – 80 miles round/trip, five days a week, to practice. The proposed facility would only be six miles from campus.
The Lions need your support at the St. Charles County Council meeting on Monday March 10th at 7:00 P.M.! Approval from five of the seven members of the County Council will be needed to grant the conditional use permit, and every additional proponent in attendance could make the difference!
The Lindenwood University range will be a state of the art shooting facility featuring many different shotgun disciplines. These will include six to eight trap and skeet overlays including two international bunkers, sporting clays, five-stand and FITASC courses. The proposed facility has already received approval from the Missouri Department of Conservation and exceeds all state rules and regulations. The University is implementing the most modern lead management practices and providing campus security for the facility.
Come out and support your Lindenwood Lions Shooting Sports Program on March 10th at 7:00 P.M. at the St. Charles County Council located at 100 North Third St, St. Charles, MO 63301.
