On Wednesday, February 6, the Utah Senate passed Senate Bill 67 by a 23-4 vote. SB67 now heads to the House for its consideration.
Sponsored by State Senator Mark Madsen (R-13), SB67 would allow you to keep a firearm in your locked motor vehicle while parked on publicly accessible private property as long as the firearm is legally possessed and transported, properly secured and/or in a locked vehicle, and not in plain view.
Please contact your State Representative today and respectfully urge him or her to support this critical pro-gun measure. Contact information for your State Representative can be found by visiting http://www.le.state.ut.us/house/DistrictInfo/newMaps/State.htm.
