This week, the City of Huntsville agreed to have the signs removed that indicated that it is unlawful to “possess firearms” on most of the major greenways including, the Aldridge Creek Greenway and the Big Cove Creek Greenway. According to state law, the regulation of firearms is entirely reserved to the Alabama State Legislature. These signs not only violated state law, but were a blatant attack on your Second Amendment rights.
The removal of the signs would not have been possible without the help of NRA members in Huntsville and throughout Alabama. We would like to thank all of the members who took the time to contact the Huntsville City Council.
