House Bill 4597, sponsored by State Representative Matthew Gillard (D-106), is scheduled to be voted on next week by the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs. This “No-Net Loss” legislation would ensure that today's total acreage of public lands open to public hunting would not be reduced.
Please contact the members of the Committee on Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs and respectfully urge them to send HB4597 on to the full State Senate for a vote. The members of the committee are:
Senator Patricia Birkholz, Chairwoman (R-24)
Senator Gerald Van Woerkom, Vice-Chairman (R-34)
Senator Raymond Basham (D-8)
Senator Bruce Patterson (R-7)
Senator Michael Prusi (D-38)
