Representative Pat Pariseau (R-Farmington) writes: "Time and time again, we have seen that responsible, law-abiding citizens are not the problem -- the problem is violent felons, those who would never even think of applying for a permit to carry, who commit heinous crimes with guns. If we truly want to reduce gun violence in Minnesota, we must focus our energies on passing laws that will enact tougher penalties for these violent felons."
