An Asheville, N.C., pharmacy owner prevented a robbery of
Lord's Drugstore by grabbing his firearm and holding the suspect
until police arrived. Richard James entered the store Thursday
morning and presented a note to the owner that read, "1 liquid
bottle of morphine or everyone gets the sever consequnice (sic)."
James then told the owner not to set off any alarms. The owner,
observing that the suspect wasn't armed, produced his own gun and
convinced James to sit on the floor until the police arrived.
