Monroe, La., resident Mattie Ann Givens became alarmed at
two men "moaning and groaning" on her porch. Retreating to her
bedroom, she called police and then ducked behind a bed when she
heard someone breaking in through a rear window. Seconds later,
when a man entered the bedroom, Givens leaped up, pointed a revolver
at him and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
