An 87-year-old Ida, La., woman awoke and picked up a gun
when she heard an intruder breaking in her front door. The man
entered her bedroom and after attempting to wrest the gun away,
fled. A suspect was later arrested and charged with burglary,
battery, and attempted rape.
Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the "lobbying" arm of the National Rifle Association of America.
