Colorado: Hearing Scheduled for Red Flag Expansion Bill

On Tuesday, January 27th, the Senate State, Veterans, & Military Affairs committee will hold a hearing on Senate Bill 26-004, expanding "red flag" laws. Please contact members of the committee by using the TAKE ACTION button below and urge them to OPPOSE SB 26-004.

Senate Bill 26-004 expands Colorado's "Red Flag" laws by allowing health-care facilities, behavioral health treatment facilities, K-12 schools, and institutions of higher education to petition a court for an extreme risk protection order. These expansions invite abuse of the system and threaten due process protections for lawful firearm owners.
