This week, HB 2818, expanding self-defense protections and SB 500, the Firearms Industry Non-Discrimination (FIND) Act, will be heard in policy committees. Please contact members of each committee directly by using the TAKE ACTION buttons below and urge them to SUPPORT these bills.
On Tuesday, April 8th, the Senate Public Safety Committee will hold a hearing on HB2818, the Private Property Protection Act. HB2818 allows for the defensive display of a firearm when presented with an active threat.
On Wednesday, April 9th, the House State Powers Committee will hold a hearing on SB500. SB500 prohibits public entities from entering into contracts with businesses unless they certify that they do not discriminate against firearm businesses. Anti-gun corporations, banks, and their executives have expressed interest in denying services to the firearm industry as a way to further their political agenda and impose gun control by making such business impossible when legislatures won’t bend to their will.
