NRA Requests Injunction Against Gov. Grisham’s Order Closing Gun Stores

Late yesterday, NRA and other pro-Second Amendment plaintiffs filed a motion in federal court seeking a TRO (temporary restraining order) in the lawsuit previously filed against anti-gun Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham.  If the motion is granted, the state will be prohibited from enforcing the closure of gun stores and shooting ranges under the Governor's COVID-19 executive order until a full hearing is held before the court.

Reports indicate that the Governor continues to strictly enforce her closure, with New Mexico State Police officers showing up at Calibers gun shop in Albuquerque yesterday ordering the shop to cease and desist operations.  NRA-ILA will keep you updated on the litigation and our continued efforts to protect the Second Amendment in New Mexico.  You may click here and here to view TRO/preliminary injunction documents filed with the court.
