NRA Launches TV Ad Against Jason Kander in Missouri U.S. Senate Race

Thursday, September 8, 2016

Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today launched its first television ad in the race for U.S. Senate in Missouri. The 30-second ad, titled “Kander Kastle,” highlights Jason Kander’s anti-Second Amendment record in the state legislature. The ad will begin running this week in Kansas City, Springfield, and Joplin.

"Missouri voters deserve to know that their Second Amendment freedoms hang in the balance this November," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “The next Missouri senator will help determine control of the Supreme Court. Jason Kander would be devastating for law-abiding citizens’ fundamental right of self-defense in the U.S. Senate.”

The ad highlights the importance of the 2016 Senate elections in determining the makeup of the Supreme Court. The basic right to keep a gun in the home for self-protection is at stake in November.

"Jason Kander opposed our constitutional freedoms during his time in Jefferson City, and now he wants to bring his anti-gun agenda to Washington, D.C. All freedom-loving Missourians should oppose Kander's gun control agenda and vote to re-elect Roy Blunt to the U.S. Senate on November 8," concluded Cox.
