Nebraska: Pro-Gun Bills to be Heard in Judiciary Committee This Week

On Thursday, March 19, at 1:30 p.m., the Nebraska Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing in Committee Room 1113 to cover the following pro-gun bills:

  • Legislative Bill 30: Sponsored by state Senator Beau McCoy (39), LB 30 would protect the privacy of concealed permit holders by prohibiting the disclosure of applicant and permit holder information.
  • Legislative Bill 289: Sponsored by state Senator Laura Ebke (32), LB 289 is critical pro-gun legislation that would create a state firearms preemption statute to ensure that firearms and ammunition laws are consistent throughout Nebraska.  This legislation would help to prevent a complex patchwork of regulations across the state which currently makes it difficult for responsible firearm owners to follow.

Please contact members of the Judiciary Committee TODAY and urge them to SUPPORT Legislative Bill 30 and Legislative Bill 289 this Thursday.  Contact info is provided below.
