Oregon: Bills Aimed at Seizing Rights of Law-Abiding Citizens Rescheduled for Tomorrow and More Gun Bills Added to the Schedule

The four anti-gun bills that were supposed to be considered today, Senate Bill 347, Senate Bill 699, Senate Bill 700, Senate Bill 796, have been carried over on the committee agenda to tomorrow and two more guns bills have been added to their schedule. The chairman of the state Senate Judiciary Committee is considering additional amendments to these bills.

Senate bill 696 which originally started off as a bill to expand on the firearm exemption for bankruptcy, has been gutted and replaced with anti-gun language that would cause confusion and inconsistencies with federal law.

Senate Bill 713 is a pro-gun reform that would allow shooting ranges in exclusive farm use zones.

Using the contact information provided below, please call AND e-mail members of the Senate Judiciary Committee and respectfully urge them to OPPOSE SB 347, SB 699, SB 700 and SB 796 and to OPPOSE all anti-gun language in SB 696.  Also urge members of this committee to SUPPORT SB 713.
