Today, September 18 at 7:30 p.m., the North Platte City Council will hold their third reading and final vote to repeal Section 93.05 of Ordinance No. 3852, which bans carrying firearms in North Platte’s city parks.
Changes to city ordinances must be approved three times. On August 21, City Council Members voted 6-2 to repeal the ordinance. A second reading and vote was held on September 4, where members voted 6-1 to repeal the ordinance.
The meeting today will provide the final opportunity for the City Council to examine this important repeal!
