Store owner scares off robber, The Anniston Star, Anniston, Ala. 08/29/12

An armed criminal entered Stinson and Howard Fine Jewelry in Oxford, Ala. at around 12:30 p.m. and attempted to rob the store. Upon spotting the criminal, the store owner retrieved a gun and fired at the robber, missing him, but causing him to flee.

Helpful local residents quickly alerted police to the attempted robbery, allowing them to capture the criminal only blocks away from the store. (The Anniston Star, Anniston, Ala. 08/29/12)
