Oregon Governor Signs CHL Confidentiality Bill into Law

Yesterday, Governor John Kitzhaber signed House Bill 4045 into law. This important Concealed Handgun License (CHL) confidentiality law went into effect immediately.

Sponsored by state Representative Kim Thatcher (R-25), HB 4045 was a necessary legislative fix because, under previous law, the private personal information of every person holding a CHL in Oregon was at risk of being divulged to the public.
