The public will have a chance in October to comment on plans to keep firearms and other weapons out of La Crosse County buildings when the state's new concealed carry law takes effect Nov. 1. County supervisors Thursday approved a public hearing for 5 p.m. Oct. 20, before the next board meeting, on an ordinance that bans the weapons from its public buildings. Supervisor Bill Feehan said he'd received numerous phone calls on the ordinance and wanted to give constituents a chance to weigh in.
