Wisconsin Senate Votes to Finally Return <br/>Right of Self-Defense to Citizens!

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Today is a great day for freedom in the Badger State and one that will strike fear in the hearts of violent criminals who currently prey on their victims with near impunity.  By a bi-partisan 25 to 8 vote, the state Senate approved one of the nation’s strongest Right-to-Carry laws, Senate Bill 93.  Only a floor vote in the pro-freedom state Assembly stands in the way of finally reversing more than a century of injustice that has deprived Wisconsin’s citizens of the basic right to defend themselves and their families from criminals.

For more than ten years, the NRA and its members have been working tirelessly to realize this day.  Wisconsinites will soon be freer, because of the unwavering leadership of state Senators Pam Galloway (R-29), Rich Zipperer (R-33) and Neal Kedzie (R-11), who fought for their law-abiding constituents.  Dave Zien first blazed the trail in the state Senate and his contribution will never be forgotten!

It is now time for you to make one last communication on this issue to your state Representative. Ask that he or she vote to pass SB 93, the Personal Protection Act, in its current form. Time is of the essence since the Assembly is expected to vote on SB 93 this week. Make no mistake, while this is a giant step toward restoring freedom, it will not be the last.

To contact your state Representative, you can call the Legislative Hotline at 800-362-9472 or you can click here and find individual contact information.
