Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing North Dakota Governor John Hoeven (R) for U.S. Senate this November.
“John Hoeven’s steadfast commitment to preserving our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage has earned him the NRA-PVF endorsement,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. “As a U.S. Senator, I'm confident that Governor Hoeven will continue to fight for the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding gun owners in North Dakota and across the country.”
During his time as Governor, Hoeven signed into law several pro-gun bills, including legislation to prevent bogus lawsuits intended to bankrupt American firearms manufacturers; “Castle Doctrine” legislation allowing the use of deadly force in self-defense without the fear of undue criminal and civil prosecution; and legislation providing $3.3 million in funds to increase hunter access and improve wildlife habitat. Governor Hoeven also approved pro-hunting programs like Private Lands Open to Sportsmen (PLOTS), which increased the amount of public hunting to over one million acres.
A lifelong hunter and sportsman, John Hoeven earned an “A” rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF for his unwavering commitment to preserving our gun rights and hunting heritage.
“On November 2nd, I urge all North Dakota NRA members and gun owners to vote John Hoeven for U.S. Senate,” Cox concluded.
