HB 3298, introduced by State Representative Bakari Sellers (D-90), would remove the restriction on transporting a handgun under the seat of your vehicle, which would allow a law-abiding gun owner to treat the area under his or her car seat similar to what current law allows regarding transporting a firearm in a closed glove compartment or console.
Please continue contact members of the House Judiciary Committee and urge them to pass HB3298. Contact information for the committee can be found by clicking here.
