Arizona: Important Pro-Gun Measures to be Considered Any Moment!

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Please Contact the Members of the House Judiciary Committee Today!

With less than a week left in this year’s legislative session, two vital NRA-backed initiatives will be considered by the House Judiciary Committee very soon.

Senate Bill 1113, introduced by State Senator Jack Harper (R-4), would give concealed carry permit holders the right to take concealed handguns into restaurants that serve alcohol, provided they are not consuming.

Senate Bill 1243, sponsored by State Senator Russell Pearce (R-18), would clarify the statutory definition of defensive display of a firearm. This clarification of defensive display of a firearm is a valuable addition to your right to self-defense.

The House Judiciary Committee is doing great service to Arizona’s law-abiding gun owners by considering these bills in the closing days of the session.  They are facing an avalanche of legislation as the clock runs out.

Please contact the members of the House Judiciary Committee TODAY and respectfully urge them to support SB1113 and SB1243.  Contact information can be found below.
