Around 4p.m. an armed robber entered a Burger King in Miami, Fla. and demanded money from a clerk. A customer approached the criminal and a verbal altercation ensued. The customer, a right-to-carry permit holder, drew his gun and exchanged gunfire with the criminal, killing him. The customer also suffered gunshot wounds, but is in stable condition at a local hospital.
Miami police spokesman Jeff Giordano praised the customer’s actions, referring to him as a “good Samaritan”. Giordano went on to say, “There were a lot of people inside the Burger King, he may have saved lives. It was a brave act.”
