In broad daylight, four armed men attempted to break into a home in Tucson, Ariz. As the criminals approached the house, the homeowner saw them on the security camera system that surrounds the property. The homeowner grabbed his firearm and met the armed criminals with gunfire. The criminals retreated to their vehicle and sped off. Police believe at least one of the criminals was struck in the arm. Police were unable to recover any of the armed men, but were able to track down the car they were using. After finding the car, the police connected it to 23-year-old Jesus Mendivil, who is now a suspect. Lawrence Cruz, who lives in the neighborhood, showed his support for the homeowner, stating, “I am very watchful where we live and I think everyone has a right to defend their property.”
