More Anti-Gun Bills Introduced This Week in New York!

In addition to the laundry list of anti-gun bills introduced in the New York State Legislature last week, several more anti-gun bills have been introduced in Albany. 

 

  • Assembly Bill 2881, sponsored by State Assemblyman David Koon (D-135), bans the possession and use of "frangible" ammunition;
  • Assembly Bill 2884, sponsored by State Assemblyman David Koon (D-135), would outlaw gun shows on public property;
  • Assembly Bill 2885, sponsored by State Assemblyman David Koon (D-135), would allow the State Police to ban any firearm they deem "unsafe" at any time;
  • Assembly Bill 3211, sponsored by State Assemblywoman Patricia Eddington (D-3), would prohibit the sale use or possession of .50 caliber firearms;
  • Assembly Bill 3346, sponsored by State Assemblyman David Koon (D-135), provides for banning certain "dangerous" firearms;
  • Assembly Bill 3477, sponsored by State Assemblyman Karim Camara (D-43), expands the ballistic imaging program to include additional firearms;
  • Assembly Bill 3510, sponsored by State Assemblyman Michael Gianaris (D-36), would prohibit concealed vehicular compartments, barring SUV's or autos without trunks, from installing safes or compartments in which to secure firearms; and,
  • Assembly Bill 3561, sponsored by State Assemblyman N. Nick Perry (D-58), would require pistol licensees to obtain liability insurance.
