Around 1 a.m., a homeowner in Sacramento, Calif. noticed a burglar in the yard near his shed. The homeowner grabbed his flashlight and handgun and went to investigate. As the homeowner confronted the burglar, the burglar attacked him, cutting his face. The homeowner responded by firing his handgun, which caused the burglar to flee.
Police were unable to tell if the homeowner’s shot struck the burglar and have not apprehended a suspect.
