A bill to allow concealed carry on the campuses of universities, community colleges and vocational technical schools died Monday when its chief sponsor pulled it from consideration. Rep. Ernest Wooton, R-Belle Chasse, said he did not have the votes to pass his House Bill 199, targeted by editorial writers and opposition from university officials. But Wooton warned that he will bring the bill back "at every session I can."
