Wisconsin Senate to Consider “Emergency Powers” Bill Tomorrow!

Assembly Bill 581 will be heard tomorrow, Thursday, February 28 in the Wisconsin State Senate.  

Sponsored by Assemblyman Scott Gunderson (R-83), AB581 would prevent the state of Wisconsin from restricting the possession, transfer, sale, transport, storage, display, or use of firearms or ammunition during a declared state of emergency.  Simply stated, AB581 will prevent government authorities from confiscating firearms from law-abiding citizens, such as occurred in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
