South Dakota Right-to-Carry Reform Bill Needs Your Help Now!

Please Contact your State Senator Today!

House Bill 1261, introduced by State Representative Thomas Brunner (R-29) and State Senator Dennis Schmidt (R-33), needs your help now! The bill was defeated in the Senate State Affairs Committee, however a procedural motion called a “smoke out” could be used to send HB1261 to the floor.

HB1261 would prevent universities from passing regulations that infringe on the Right-to-Carry if a person is complying with existing state laws.

This procedural move will happen tomorrow, Thursday, February 14. Please contact your State Senator TODAY and respectfully urge him or her to support the “smoke out” move to bring this vital Right-to-Carry reform to the Senate floor. Contact information for your State Senator can be found here.
