On Friday, February 1, LB 690, introduced by State Senator Deb Fischer (District 43), passed the Nebraska Legislature by a margin of 46-1, with 2 members not voting. LB 690 now moves to Governor Dave Heineman for his consideration.
This important piece of pro-hunting legislation will create a mentor-hunting program and will lower the hunting age to twelve in Nebraska. LB690 is part of the Families Afield Initiative that is a cooperative effort between NRA, the National Wild Turkey Federation, U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance and National Shooting Sports Foundation.Please contact your State Senator and thank him or her for voting to protect our hunting heritage in the Cornhusker State.
